Cotton the Persian Kitten

Hello fellow bloggers and readers. How are you? I am doing fine here. Hope you do too :)

Today I am going to tell you about our pet named Cotton. Why do we call her that? THE FUR! Cotton's fur is as soft as cotton. Darryl's mum (Mama) got her from a friend. Yah. That was when we first met her. She was very shy, very good girl, very elegant, very all-a-Persian-descendant-cat's-characteristics-supposed-to-be-inherited. But NOW, *sigh* you'll see.
*Hint: Kiko the Kampung Cat*

This is a not-so-clear picture of her before and after her beautiful fur comes off due to skin allergies.

Before

After

How come skin allergies? She loves to play outside the house. You can name it. Gardens. Drains. Grasses. The place where we gather the trashes. OMG. And my theory is easy: INFLUENCED BY KIKO.

From what I know (sort of), Persians are usually the type of cat which prefers to stay inside rather than outside the house. Imagine GARFIELD. Hihi. And Ms. Wiki-wiki told me that

The Persian is generally described as a quiet cat. Typically placid in nature, it adapts well to apartment life. Himalayans tend to be more active due to the influence of the Siamese. One study compared cat owners' perception of their cats and Persians rated higher than non-pedigree cats on closeness and affection to owners, friendliness towards strangers, cleanliness, predictability, vocalization and fussiness over food.

Quiet cat? OUT. Placid? TOTALLY OUT. Fussiness over food. Used to be but now she eats EVERYTHING. Hm. Maybe she's active because she's from the Himalaya? Maybe. Vocalization. When you heard her meowing, you will definitely can't resist the temptation to say awwww~. That means she's super cute when she's doing the thing. The meowing thing! She's an arrogant cat. That's another Persian character.

I can't blame Kiko for becoming her best friend a.k.a sister. Sometimes you can see that Kiko is annoyed by Cotton. Cotton will always follow her wherever she goes. Even when it's nap or bedtime, Cotton will always disturb Kiko and ask her to play with her.

Last time, Kiko was the playful cat. But she's all grown up now. Seeing them run for each other makes me happy. They made Mama happy too.

Oh. Cotton is Mama's alarm clock every morning. She's a very smart cat. Whenever the alarm clock rings and she's not up yet, Cotton will wake her up by rubbing the face using her nose. She knows how to pull the blanket off your face! If that doesn't work, Cotton will use her paw & scratch the back of your neck.

Here's a picture of Kiko & Cotton sitting on my lap during our way back home from the vet.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Can I gigit Cotton? My anak(s) also like that...yg jadi alarm clock. But mine aggressive skit. Kalau xbangun after they rub my nose..they bite my arm. Balas dendam in their own way I guess.
