Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' secret wedding

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds met while filming 2011's 'Green Lantern' and have been dating about a year.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ secret wedding was a very good thing – even her ex-boyfriend agrees.
The newlyweds worked with Martha Stewart’s wedding gurus to plan their ultra-intimate nuptials in Charleston, S.C., with photos set to grace the December issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, the domestic diva revealed Monday.
“I couldn’t be happier for her,” Lively’s former squeeze Penn Badgley, her co-star on the CW show "Gossip Girl," told the Daily News.
“In truth, I didn’t know anything about it,” he said, confirming he didn't attend the secret Sunday shindig. “Of course I think it’s great.”
The covert ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant took some serious planning, Lively’s brother told The News.
“It was amazing,” Jason Lively, 44, said Monday. “I traveled all around the country and rented cars from out of state to keep it under wraps. I think they did a good job. It was spectacular.”
The beautiful bride walked down the aisle in a one-of-a-kind Marchesa bridal ballgown designed by friends Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, according to a rep for the design firm.
The dress had a hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with custom crystal and rose gold embroidery, the designers said.
Bridesmaids wore their own custom Marchesa frocks cut from blush silk chiffon with crystal embroidered detail.
“Ryan and Blake opted for an intimate, personalized party, gathering their immediate and extended family at a rustic barn in South Carolina,” Stewart's Weddings website said. “Ryan, who has been a long-time fan of Charleston, chose to mark this special occasion in one of his favorite towns.”
The groom and groomsmen reportedly wore specially made Burberry suits with custom leather suspenders designed by Reynolds’ friend Christopher Bailey.
The couple exchanged wedding rings by New York jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, a source previously told The News.
Their “heartfelt ceremony” was followed by a “fun-filled carnival hour” and elegant reception, Stewart’s site said.
Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, met while filming the 2011 film “Green Lantern” and have been dating about a year.
Their $3,000 wedding cake, baked by Maggie Austin Cakes in Maryland, was driven some eight hours and across three state lines to the plates of the couple's 70 or so guests, the News' source said.
The union, which marks the first marriage for Lively and the second for her Canadian hubby, also included a live performance by Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, People.com reported.
