Lullabies - Yuna

Like lullabies you are,
Forever in my mind.
I see you in all,
The pieces in my life.
Though you weren't mine,
You were my first love.

I wanted to go away with you,
And I will leave all my troubles here.
I wanted to run away with you,
And I will bring all my dreams and fears.

Like lullabies you are,
Forever in my mind.
I see you in all,
The pieces in my life.
Though you weren't mine…
Like lullabies you are,
Forever in my mind.
I see you in all,
The pieces in my life.
Though you weren't mine

Though you weren't mine,
You were my first love.
You were my first love.

I wanted to start again with you,
And I will leave all my worries here.
I wanted only you.
I know that I fell for you.

Like lullabies you are,
Forever in my mind.
I see you in all,
The pieces in my life.
Though you weren't mine…
Like lullabies you are,
Forever in my mind.
I see you in all,
The pieces in my life.
Though you weren't mine,

Though you weren't mine,
You were my first love.
You were my first love.
You were my first love.

On Sabah’s ‘racism’

By Erna Mahyuni

DEC 5 ― “So it strikes me to ask, is Sabah as racism-free as it seems?” That’s what a LoyarBurok columnist asked, after a (brief) visit to Sabah and noting the distaste many locals have towards illegal immigrants.

The first problem I have is with the notion of Sabah being “racism-free.” No place in the world is free from racism, unless said place is filled with people of the same race. Even then, we human beings will find other reasons to oppress our fellows. Because we can.

Sabah has a higher degree of tolerance. A higher tolerance of other religions and more widespread acceptance of intermarriage among the races sets us apart from most states in the Peninsula but we never pretended that we are “racism-free.”

I have relatives who are racists. Which makes things slightly tricky because I happen to be a “mongrel” with Dusun and Bajau blood and have ancestors from China and Pakistan.

So that means I hear about the “lazy, stupid” Dusuns, the “bloodthirsty, manic” Bajaus, the “miserly, selfish” Chinese and the “untrustworthy” Pakistanis from my own family.

If all their stories were true, by virtue of my mixed race I am destined for infamy or, at the very least, a long prison sentence.

Despite our differences, what sets Sabah apart is that the races just get along better.

The point is that racial stereotypes are common everywhere, even in Sabah. But the LoyarBurok columnist chose to harp on local Sabahan’s attitudes towards illegal immigrants from the Philippines and Indonesia.

My god, man, do you expect us Sabahans to embrace them as brothers? Roll out the red carpet? Have feasts for them?

The ugly truth is most Sabahans don’t want them around.

PBS head Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan is but one of many Sabah politicians who have called on the mainland to address the problem of illegal immigrants who are frankly unwelcome in the state.

It’s unfair that many Sabahans see illegals as criminals and parasites, when some people are genuinely fleeing harsh conditions at home. But the reality is that many illegals do turn to crime.

There are areas in Kota Kinabalu that are “black areas” controlled by illegals, where locals fear to tread. Even our local law enforcement is forced to turn a blind eye. Some due to lack of manpower, some because they’re paid off by the illegals.

Many Sabahans are afraid of illegals. They have good cause to be. My neighbourhood doctor was killed with parangs by Indonesians. Two-thirds of the women I know, including myself, have been molested by illegals.

Just behind my house, a neighbour started an illegal immigrant-staffed brothel and my family had to put up with the circus of whores and their seedy clientele, literally in my own backyard.

My stories are just anecdotes, some of you will scoff. But my “anecdotes” are the reality that non-Sabahans will not be able to appreciate.

Then we have people like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who say that we should just give illegals citizenship, no matter what Sabahans have to say about the matter.

So we blithely give these 1.7 million (as of 2010 ) people citizenship? Really, Dr Mahathir?

Another truth is, as my mother says, that we may despise them but we also need them. Sabah’s backward economy is dependent on cheap labour. So much so that locals are forced to go to the Peninsula to seek better-paying job opportunities.

The illegals drive the buses. They monopolise the cheap boat services to the islands. They are the ones manning the stalls at the Filipino Market. Some call them industrious, some call them opportunistic. Yet they’re here and now they just won’t leave.

Is it really racism to be unhappy that foreigners come onto your land, monopolise your commerce, threaten your feeling of safety while you are also powerless to get rid of them?

I guess Sabahans know too well what the Orang Asli must feel.

Choir Team Jabatan Perikanan Sabah

This year's Hari Peladang Penternak Nelayan Sabah (HPPNS), we were given the opportunity to perform 3 songs namely Theme Song of HPPNS, 1 Malaysia and Janji Ditepati.

It seems just like yesterday when I was on duty as one of the AJK for the VVIP group in last year's HPPNS. During the opening ceremony, choir team from MAFI performed and Pn. Anita asked me to join the choir team next year as one of the representative from our department. I said perhaps I could try but I did not really hope that it can happen.

Long story short, this year, our own Director proposed to our MAFI Minister to let Jabatan Perikanan Sabah to perform choir in this year's HPPNS. At first, when they told me the news, I was extremely happy but then I thought that it will be impossible to perform as most of my choir members are busy doing preparation for HPPNS.

However, based on my 5 years of experience for involving in the school choir and a Grade 5 in organ lesson, I managed to form a new team consist of 2 new members.

I am so proud of them! 13 choir members consist of Terence, Zainudin, Malai, Jeffrey, Nelsey, Nancy, Haineh, Jeniffer, Precela, Helena, Zauyah, Nesmaly and Roshma. All of them did very well with only 4 days of practice. I am so glad that we managed to work together as a team and performed our very best.

Our performance during the opening ceremony went perfectly well. However, due to few technical problems during closing ceremony, our performance was not as good as opening ceremony. What to do. Things just happened.

I have recorded our performance during opening ceremony and closing ceremony using an audio recorder .

If you would like to listen to them, here are the links:

Sorry for the low quality : )

Please bear in mind that my choir was trained only in FOUR (4) DAYS. The voicing might be here and there but at least we tried. All of us were not professional singers and does not have any vocal training background. I trained them by using my little knowledge in vocal and music during highschool.

Three Days of Darkness

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Three Days of Darkness is a tradition within Catholicism which recalls the plague of Moses against Egypt. Just as God punished the idolatrous Egyptians during the days of Moses with Ten Plagues including the "three days of darkness," so also, at the end of time will God will punish the entire world with "three days of darkness." The theory holds that the entire earth will be enveloped by perfect darkness lasting the span of three days and three nights. The only light that will be seen during these three days will come from blessed candles. Catholic visionaries agree that the faithful should stay within their homes during this plague of darkness as most of the earth's inhabitant shall die.

Advocates of the Theory

Many Catholic saints and mystics have affirmed the coming Three Days of Darkness, such as, Padre Pio, Saint Hildegard, BlessedAnna Maria Taigi, Elizabeth Canori-Mora, Rosa-Colomba Asdente, Palma d'Oria, Pere Lamy, Marie Baourdi, Marie Martel, and Marie Julie Jahenny.
Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (1769–1837) is the greatest known advocate for the Three Days of Darkness and describes the event in this way:

"There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. He, who out of curiosity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy. All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms."

Marie-Julie Jahenny (1850-1941), known as the "Breton Stigmatist", embellished the story of the Three Days of Darkness: the blessed wax candles for protection must be of 100% pure wax, they must not have other ingredients, candles with mixtures that are not of pure wax will not light. A Two Day Period of Darkness would fall 37 to 40 days before the Three Days of Darkness. The blessed wax candles will be the only sources of light at night during these Two Days, but can be put out during the daytime of the Two Days.

However, the blessed candles must be lit for all of the Three Days of Darkness and must not be put out. They will not light in the homes of the impious or blasphemers. The furniture on which the blessed candles are placed will not shake during the incessant earthquakes that will occur during those days. The faithful are instructed to gather around a blessed crucifix and image of the Blessed Virgin and pray. The Three Days will fall on a Thursday, a Friday, and a Saturday. All hell will be let loose during this time and strike all who are not in their homes and have a blessed candle lit. The faithful are instructed not to look out during the Three Days, or they will also be struck dead.

Description of the Three Days of Darkness

It will be a bitterly cold winter night in the northern hemisphere. Presumably, a very cold summer night in Australia or, by contrast, a torrid night. The wind will howl and roar. Lightning and thunderbolts of an unprecedented magnitude will strike the earth. The whole earth will shake, heavenly bodies will be disturbed – this will be the beginning of the Three Days. Every demon will be released from Hell and will be allowed to roam the earth. Terrifying apparitions will take place. Many will die from sheer fright. Fire will rain forth from the sky, all large cities will be destroyed, poisonous gases will fill the air, cries and lamentations everywhere. The unbelievers will burn in the open like withered grass. The entire earth will be afflicted. Then it will become dark for three days as it did in the days of Moses.

Instructions for Adherents

Those who subscribe to the coming Three Days of Darkness instruct the faithful to flee into their homes whenever they observe the prophesied "bitterly cold winter night." The faithful should lock their doors, and close their blinds. Beeswax candles previously blessed by a Catholic priest are kept stored in homes in preparation for the event. Holy water is also kept as a remedy against demonic activity. Once the darkness descends, no one should go outside. Rather, the faithful should stay indoors and pray fervently.

Controversy and the Three Days

Adherents of the Three Days of Darkness are usually traditionalist Catholics or sedevacantism adherents. In the latter case, they hope that a true pope will be miraculously designated by an apparition of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. This tangental belief assumes that the current pontiffs of the Roman Catholic Church are not true popes, but antipopes. There is also controversy over whether the twentieth century saint and stigmatist Padre Pio of Pietrelcina endorsed and taught the future Three Days of Darkness. The authenticity of the alleged words of Saint Pio are disputed.

To Change or Not to Change to 4G

Petaling Jaya, 11 October 2012 – Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (“P1”), South East Asia’s leading 4G broadband provider launched a new consumer campaign themed, Tukar Tak Tukar. The campaign aims to get 3G users looking for new broadband services to seriously consider P1’s latest 4G promotion plans which give significantly more usage quota and attractive rebates.

Shirley Ah Yong, P1 Brand & Marketing Director said, “The Tukar Tak Tukar campaign intends to get Malaysians thinking about change in relation to their broadband experience. We want all 3G users to give some thoughts to how P1’s 4G broadband can enhance their broadband experience and give them better value for their money.”

Shirley continued, “To change or not to change is a decision that everyone makes constantly. It could be about anything big or small and include which broadband service to subscribe to. Through this campaign, we hope to give you enough facts for you to decide on your broadband service; and at the same time, bring you some interesting stories on ‘change.”

A key highlight of the campaign is P1’s collaboration with five local popular YouTubers; Grim Film, KYO Propaganda, Dan Khoo Productions, The Ming Thing TV and Joseph Germani to produce six entertaining videos on “change.” These videos will be launched on P1’s Tukar Tak Tukar micro-site over six consecutive weeks starting on 12 October.

P1’s collaboration with young and local YouTubers continues to affirm both the company’s commitment to support local creative talents and their focus on new media channels. Shirley refers to YouTube as a “wildly wonderful platform and catalyst for creative expression”.

The micro-site will also raise awareness on the benefits of changing to 4G broadband plans by P1 with their all-out year-end promotion. P1 is offering contract subscribers 100GB more usage quota and a free dect phone for their ForHome™ or combo OnePlan™: Its mid to high ToGo™ plans have uncapped 4G speed and comes with a free 4G MiFi (personal WiFi device). On top of it all, subscribers to all of P1’s mid to high 4G plans will enjoy a bonus RM200 rebate.

Shirley said, “The extra quota and rebate will be most attractive to those who are craving to do more online without paying an arm and a leg. We anticipate that the free dect phone with initial bundled-in call minutes for home broadband (ForHome™ and OnePlan™) and the free MiFi modem for the on-the-go plans will be popular draws as well.

Cake No More

Last Saturday we celebrated my parents 25th Wedding Anniversary at Venetian. I ordered a cake at this one shop.

That was my first and last time ordering a cake from there.

Why? Please continue reading.

1. Supposed to pick the cake up at 4.00 pm but when I arrived there at 4.30 pm, they told me they have not finished preparing the cake. So I said okay and I told them I will come back later at 6.30 pm to take the cake.
2. I ordered Red Velvet with cream cheese filling but they gave me butter cream filling because they are afraid the freshness of the cake might not last long (cepat bangas).
3. The flower was supposed to be silver in colour but they gave me yellow flower.
4. The wordings were supposed to be silver in colour but they made it brown in colour.
5. The wordings should be written as 25th Wedding not 25 Wedding.

I asked them to paint/ spray the flower and wordings using silver colour and to add the letter TH.

Thankfully they finished re-painting everything in 10 minutes. For that one, I give credits to the baker/ cake-maker.

As I was already late, I decided to just keep my anger inside me. No use to maki hamun here and there because benda sudah jadi. I was supposed to arrive at Venetian early to set up the LCD and prepare for my emcee duty. Nasib lah family gathering saja.

Sudah la sa mmg penuh dgn kesabaran, boleh lagi tu staff 1 orang cakap these sama saya:

1. Tiada kena tulis dalam resit pakai mau pakai warna apa. (For the flower & wordings)

2. Mana ada bunga warna silver, kalau mau pun itu mau custom made la.
Ketara ni staff x tau apa2 psl bikin kek sbb nmg bkn dia yg bikin kek pun. Never heard of spray paint? Bagus kau masuk dapur sekali sekala tngk macamana org bikin kek.

3. Terlampau bnyk order cake bah hari ini, kami pun bingung. (Tukang bikin kek yg ckp sm sa)

Kalau ya pun, kamurang mana blh buat itu sbg alasan kamu kan. Psl bnyk cake, jadi kmu bingung? You guys better kasi naik your standard and improve your service please.

Baru jg buka mah kedai dorg, before this bikin kek di rumah sendiri ja (home-made).

P/S: I will never order from them again. Sorry to say la. Bad first impression to new customers.

P1 Says “Tukar Ke 4G” with Perks

In keeping up with day to day challenges in this fast paced modern day lifestyle, don’t we all wish for affordable high speed internet broadband that offers you the very best of services, whether you’re at home or on the go? At P1, we believe that access to broadband these days is a right and not a luxury, one simply should not put up with inadequate 3G internet services that charges you an arm and a leg. That is why, P1 recommends you to make the change from 3G to 4G and enjoy the benefits of 4G broadband.

If you are using 3G broadband mostly at home, and are an online activities lover. You will most likely face the situation of not having enough quota to use at home. Most 3G broadband will most likely give you a lower quota simply because it was designed for on-the-go usage which is normally less intensive. Now, WHAT IF, you are given a choice to switch to 4G and with that you will get 100GB additional quota, and will have the liberty to surf your heart out at home? That’s not all, what if you’re not happy with your new 4G service once you've switched?

Well, P1 has this base covered to your satisfaction as they have a 7-day money back guarantee risk-free policy. This is getting interesting, isn't it? So, have we gotten your attention yet?

But as smart consumer yourself, you’d probably want to know what else P1 can offer you on top of what others are offering, right? They are confident that what they are about tell you will throw your decision our way and sign-up with P1 almost instantly!

Here goes!

They have 2 more fabulous reasons why you should to switch to P1 4G, they are - A RM200 rebate plus a cordless DECT phone that comes with up to 200 FREE call minutes monthly! So what are you waiting for?! Tukar now to P1 ForHome™ Plan! Just visit for more info and make that switch to enjoy all the 4G benefits!

For those of you who use broadband mainly on-the-go, P1 has not forgotten about you. If you are a person that is constantly traveling and works out of the office a lot, you will require a stable and reliable 4G broadband connection to connect the multiple devices you’ll need to function efficiently. Well, P1 totally understands your dilemma. So, say goodbye to multiple internet plans for your multiple devices, as P1’s ToGo™ Plan will help you save at a minimum of 57% per month. How, you may ask?

Simple, introducing P1 ToGo™ Plan with MiFi, a personal 4G WiFi modem that connects up to 8 devices (7 via WiFi, 1 via USB cable) at only RM69 per month compared to other plans. The plan also comes with a 6GB of usage quota with uncapped 4G speed. This is a whopping 57% saving from having to pay for multiple plans which normally cause up to RM160 for 5GB of usage quota! Furthermore, the MiFi device comes absolutely FREE if you commit to a 24 months plan, while you’d have to pay over RM300 for a device for the other telco plans! So what are you waiting for? Tukar to 4G with P1 ToGo™ Plan now and you will receive a RM200 rebate! Visit now and register!

Now, with all these added values and bonuses, there is no reason why you should not tukar to P1 broadband services. With any of P1’s ForHome™ or ToGo ™Plans, its multiple connectivity, fast easy internet access and high speeds will allow you to get on top of all your internet and lifestyle needs within seconds! Most importantly, this tukar comes with risk free 7-day trial! Which means you will get your money back if you are not satisfied with our service after 7 days of testing it out.

Seriously, a golden deal like this does not come very often. So the wise thing to do is to grab it while it’s hot! So, what say you? Tukarlah sekarang!

P1 Broadband Now in Sabah

P1 broadband now in Sabah
Targets 80% coverage in Kota Kinabalu by 2012

Kota Kinabalu, 12 July 2012 – Residents in Sabah now have an additional choice for broadband services with the entry of P1 (“Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd”), Malaysia’s first and largest 4G service provider with over 400,000 subscribers. The company has an aggressive network deployment plan aimed at providing up to 80% of household coverage in urban Kota Kinabalu by the end of 2012.

P1 earlier announced that it will commit RM30 million to provide East Malaysians with 4G broadband service with phase one network deployment focused on Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau.

Chief Executive Officer of P1, Michael Lai said, "We are truly excited to be able to serve high speed broadband services to East Malaysians. 4G broadband technology brings the Internet superhighway to the people. With our plug and play broadband services, you can do away with wires and the hassle of installation, plus it has the added advantage of being on-the-go even for fixed-wireless home access.

P1 will start by offering its staple ForHome™ fixed-wireless broadband plan, which recently won the company the honour of being the ‘Best Home Wireless Broadband Provider’ at GoMobile Operators Awards 2012. According to Lai, P1’s fixed-wireless broadband services provide many benefits around speed, ease-of-use and convenience. But mostly, P1 plans are popular because of the fantastic value built in that enable more people to enjoy rich Internet media affordably.

Residents of Kota Kinabalu who are interested to find out more and experience P1 broadband service can visit P1’s first centre at Lintas Square which officially opened yesterday on 11 July. Derek Chee, P1’s Channel Sales Director, who was at the centre opening said that another P1 centre will soon be opened in December to serve Kota Kinabalu residents.

Operating hours of the P1 centres are from 9 am to 5.30 pm on weekdays, 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday and is closed on Sunday. To find out areas with P1 coverage and get more details about P1’s products and services, log on to

A Surprise

13 Sept. But what can I say? He is such an amazing guy. He can be romantic if he wants to, right? :D

He actually planned a surprise birthday party for me together with my friends! I was shocked and speechless and I almost cried thanks to all of them. Surely, it never crossed my mind that he is capable in doing something like this for me. I actually ada lah berangan-angan sikit alangkah bagusnya sekiranya si dia ni romantik dan ada plan something for me seperti surprise birthday party ini lah konon. Sekali tengok, impian menjadi kenyataan!

Birthday cake tidak lain tidak bukan the famous Oreo Cheese Cake from Secret Recipe. Paling sedap di dunia la tu cake. At the moment, kunun sa punya fav cake la bah tu :) Tugas membeli kek diserahkan kepada Donna.

Happy Engagement Anniversary sebab kami engaged on 17.09.2011. 2 in 1 la tu celebration that night : )

Tempat kami lepak di Tg. Aru is known as Aru Bar. Their menu lebih kurang macam style Upperstar tu la. Kami makan, minum, shisha, gossip, ketawa dll. Tugas tempat lepak diserahkan kepada Serena.

Kenapa la dorg xda ambi video time tu. Nsb thn hati. Hahahahaha.

And I didn't bring any camera.

Paling kick is when we were at the flyover just before reaching Tg. Aru, I was going to check-in there at the fly over and I saw Donna's check-in but it was 1 hour ago. At that time, Darryl was really out of words. Luckily I said her check-in was 1 hour ago. Hahahahaha. Siap mau membawa dia pigi Sutera lagi bah kunun mau beli kek sbb ingtkan dia xda beli Oreo Cheese Cake for my birthday kan. Andu bah.

Laura texted me in the morning wishing me happy birthday and asked what are my plans for that day. I told her nothing in particular, maybe just Darryl and I go out for a date and watch movie or something. Rupanya ada udang di sebalik batu!

Now time to unveil my birthday presents!

First of all, from my fiance himself is his own necklace with D and J on it.

Donna and Serena bought me an Adidas Yoga Mat and it's in purple! A very thoughtful present from them.

Laura bought me a purple polkadot shawl, a PINK polkadot hairband, a cute puppy hang organizer and a one of a kind pen holder where I can use in my office because I don't have one. Hihihi. It actually comes with chalks where I can conteng at the small cute blackboard. Thank you la sebab kasi warna pink ah. Eeee. Sengaja tu sa tau.

Dinner treat by my parents at Welcome Seafood Restaurant, Bundusan.

Dinner treat by my mother in law at Ching Fah Restaurant, Donggongon.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Especially to my wonderful fiance, romantic bah kau kan : ) Tambah lagi kena sayang-sayang sebab romantik. Geli la ko sana. Geli.....

God bless us all.

P/S: Also to those of you who have wished me through SMS, Facebook and Twitter, thank you and God bless!

Dog stands guard over deceased owner’s grave for six years

Capitan keeps watch over Miguel Guzman's grave (La Voz)

An extremely dedicated dog has continued to show its loyalty, keeping watch on its owner's grave six years after he passed away.

Capitan, a German shepherd, reportedly ran away from home after its owner, Miguel Guzman, died in 2006. A week later, the Guzman family found the dog sitting by his grave in central Argentina.

Miguel Guzman adopted Capitan in 2005 as a gift for his teenage son, Damian. And for the past six years, Capitan has continued to stand guard at Miguel's grave. The family says the dog rarely leaves the site.

"We searched for him, but he had vanished," widow Veronica Guzman told "We thought he must have got run over and died.

'The following Sunday we went to the cemetery, and Damian recognized his pet. Capitan came up to us, barking and wailing as if he were crying."

Adding to the unusual circumstances, Veronica says the family never brought Capitan to the cemetery before he was discovered there.

"It is a mystery how he managed to find the place," she said.

Cemetery director Hector Baccega says he and his staff have begun feeding and taking care of Capitan.

"He turned up here one day, all on his own, and started wandering all around the cemetery until he eventually found the tomb of his master," Baccega said.

"During the day he sometimes has a walk around the cemetery, but always rushes back to the grave. And every day, at six o'clock sharp, he lies down on top of the grave, stays there all night."

But the Guzman family hasn't abandoned Capitan. Damian says the family has tried to bring Capitan home several times but that he always returns to the cemetery on his own.

"I think he's going to be there until he dies, too. He's looking after my dad," he said.

Ebola outbreak in DRC risks spreading to towns: WHO

KINSHASA (Reuters) - An outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo risks spreading to major towns if not brought under control soon after the death toll doubled within a week, the World Health Organisation warned on Thursday.

The number of people killed by the contagious virus for which there is no known treatment has now risen to 31, including five health workers. Ebola causes massive bleeding and kills up to 90 percent of its victims.
"The epidemic is not under control. On the contrary the situation is very, very serious," Eugene Kabambi, a WHO spokesman in Congo's capital Kinshasa, told Reuters by phone.

"If nothing is done now, the disease will reach other places, and even major towns will be threatened," he said, adding that an estimated $2 million had to be urgently found to pay for measures to tackle the disease.
The outbreak, which is believed to have been caused by tainted bushmeat hunted by local villagers, has so far struck in the towns of Isiro and Viadana in the northeastern province of Orientale.

Some 16 people in neighboring Uganda died of the disease last month, though the WHO said the two epidemics were not connected.

The latest WHO figures show there are now 65 probable or suspected cases of Ebola in Congo, with 108 people under surveillance.

Kabambi said one suspected case in Kinshasa had come back negative. Congo's ramshackle capital is home to at least 9 million people and its health sector is crumbling.

Congo's infrastructure has been devastated by decades of corruption, conflict and misrule. The country last year came bottom of a United Nations development index.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' secret wedding

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds met while filming 2011's 'Green Lantern' and have been dating about a year.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ secret wedding was a very good thing – even her ex-boyfriend agrees.
The newlyweds worked with Martha Stewart’s wedding gurus to plan their ultra-intimate nuptials in Charleston, S.C., with photos set to grace the December issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, the domestic diva revealed Monday.
“I couldn’t be happier for her,” Lively’s former squeeze Penn Badgley, her co-star on the CW show "Gossip Girl," told the Daily News.
“In truth, I didn’t know anything about it,” he said, confirming he didn't attend the secret Sunday shindig. “Of course I think it’s great.”
The covert ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant took some serious planning, Lively’s brother told The News.
“It was amazing,” Jason Lively, 44, said Monday. “I traveled all around the country and rented cars from out of state to keep it under wraps. I think they did a good job. It was spectacular.”
The beautiful bride walked down the aisle in a one-of-a-kind Marchesa bridal ballgown designed by friends Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, according to a rep for the design firm.
The dress had a hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with custom crystal and rose gold embroidery, the designers said.
Bridesmaids wore their own custom Marchesa frocks cut from blush silk chiffon with crystal embroidered detail.
“Ryan and Blake opted for an intimate, personalized party, gathering their immediate and extended family at a rustic barn in South Carolina,” Stewart's Weddings website said. “Ryan, who has been a long-time fan of Charleston, chose to mark this special occasion in one of his favorite towns.”
The groom and groomsmen reportedly wore specially made Burberry suits with custom leather suspenders designed by Reynolds’ friend Christopher Bailey.
The couple exchanged wedding rings by New York jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, a source previously told The News.
Their “heartfelt ceremony” was followed by a “fun-filled carnival hour” and elegant reception, Stewart’s site said.
Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, met while filming the 2011 film “Green Lantern” and have been dating about a year.
Their $3,000 wedding cake, baked by Maggie Austin Cakes in Maryland, was driven some eight hours and across three state lines to the plates of the couple's 70 or so guests, the News' source said.
The union, which marks the first marriage for Lively and the second for her Canadian hubby, also included a live performance by Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, reported.
