Business as usual at Pom Pom Island

Image
KOTA KINABALU: Tours operators have not received official notice warning tourists not to visit Pom Pom Island following shootout that killed a Taiwanese tourist.  It is learnt that only two resorts are operating on Pom Pom Island which are Celebes Beach Resort and Pom Pom Island Resort, where the incident took place.   The resort spokesman said they were investigating the matter and assured that security was at the highest level.   "We are still taking in tourists if they wish to come here. They can place their booking with our office in Kota Kinabalu.   "At the moment, we are not preventing tourists to visit here and there are security forces safeguarding the island," he told New Straits Times.   Meanwhile, a Celebes Beach Resort and Tour spokesman said tourists could still place their booking if they wished to come to the island.   "What I can assure is that the incident did not happen in our resort and we are taking precaut...

Mount Kinabalu 31.01.2013 - 01.02.2013

Image
Hi guys. Recently I climbed Mount Kinabalu with workmates. Sadly, we didn't managed to reach the summit as it was raining heavily at 2.30 am that day. However, I accepted it as a sign that God wants me to visit Mount Kinabalu again another day. Carson Fall It was fun and superb! I felt amazing. Along the way, there were times I wanted to quit but with perseverance, positive mind-set and also encouragement from friends, I made it! Right: Timpohon Gate - Laban Rata Left: Laban Rata - Timpohon Gate The 3 of us, Karen, Jennifer and I, reached Laban Rata in 4 hours 45 minutes. 1 hour 15 minutes faster than average. We were surprised but anyhow it is a good accomplishment. Not bad for first timers. Some of our friends, reached Laban Rata in only 4 hours or less. Crazy right? Next time Mount Kinabalu! P/S: Right now, I am on a plane going somewhere. To where? Will write about it in my next post. Hopefully. Hehehe. God bless!

P1 Says “Tukar Ke 4G” with Perks

In keeping up with day to day challenges in this fast paced modern day lifestyle, don’t we all wish for affordable high speed internet broadband that offers you the very best of services, whether you’re at home or on the go? At P1 , we believe that access to broadband these days is a right and not a luxury, one simply should not put up with inadequate 3G internet services that charges you an arm and a leg. That is why, P1 recommends you to make the change from 3G to 4G and enjoy the benefits of 4G broadband. If you are using 3G broadband mostly at home, and are an online activities lover. You will most likely face the situation of not having enough quota to use at home. Most 3G broadband will most likely give you a lower quota simply because it was designed for on-the-go usage which is normally less intensive. Now, WHAT IF, you are given a choice to switch to 4G and with that you will get 100GB additional quota , and will have...

Bambangan and I

Image
Hi, today I helped my mother in law to make a Kadazan traditional side-dish which is called Bambangan. I never saw how Bambangan was made. I only know how it was made and today I had the chance to make one! Actually, I only helped with the grating part. Teehee. According to Fascinating Malaysia : Bambangan is a type of wild mango with brown skin and a somewhat pungent smell. This is not eaten fresh as a fruit but made into a pickle or cooked with fish for a distinctive flavour. So, here are the ingredients that you need: 1. Bambangan 2. Bambangan seed 3. Salt 4. Chilli (optional) I will try my best to provide the step by step for you :) 1. Peel the skin. 2. Cut it into small cubes of half inches. 3. Cut the Bambangan seed into half and take the inside of it. Then, you need to grate it. 4. Pour in salt according to how you want it to taste like. Mix all the ingredients together. 5. Put it in an...
